What makes ME, ME
Hi, Katja here!
I am the go-to trauma-informed and transformational Women’s Pelvic Health Specialist, Sexuality Therapist and Endometriosis Expert for highly ambitious women who want to heal their pelvic & sexual pain and/or endometriosis in a completely new, safe, and holistic way—that puts them into a driver’s seat.
I believe in women’s empowerment, sovereignty in women’s health, and as a women’s health advocate, I learned to listen to my own body and listen to the language it speaks.
The answer to healing ALWAYS lies in our bodies.
I work with my clients online or in person (in Bern, Switzerland), in English, German and Swiss-German language.
I draw upon my extensive studies, knowledge and learning from:
- Dagmar Khan, The Flourish ™ Women’s Health Institute , Ireland.
- Layla Martin, VITA ™ Institute, USA.
- Clinical Sexology, Sexocorporel, 3rd grade, ZISS (CH) and ifES (D).
- Rosenberg Europäische Akademie für Ayurveda, Germany.
14 FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
- I was born in Switzerland and spoke French until I started the kindergarten.
- At the age of 16, I got my first period. It was such a painful experience and the pain didn’t change until I started to understand how my body actually works and that my body is in fact an interconnected system. This put also an end to my endometriosis pain.
- I love to feel connected with nature, especially water and being tied together to land – this is why I live in a farmer’s house in the countryside.
It might surprise you, but donkeys are my most loved animals.
While my older daughter loves horses, I am very afraid of them. - I was interested in sexuality ever since I was a teenager. Margot Anand’s book The Art of Sexual Ecstasy (The Path of Sacred Sexuality for Westerns Lovers) got into my hands when I was 25, and I never looked back.
- The one thing I am truly proud about: I have a lot of tools in my toolbox and when I am coaching my clients, I intelligently interweave my brain, my body and my intuition – all at the same time. I see emotional connections and body mysteries, which leads to a great solutions – and very happy (and pain-free) clients.
- I water-birthed one of my daughters. During my delivery, the midwife didn’t believe me the stage I was (I had already pressing contractions), even when I told her how far into labor I was (mamas – always trust your own feeling and body knowledge), but then stepped out to the phone to call the doctor… And when my gynecologist arrived, I had already delivered our baby.
- What makes me happy, even on a ‘’rainy day’’? The fact I get to work with women who suffer from sexual pain to have sex AGAIN, and even desire their partner and enjoy lovemaking. Yeah!!
- I love children and young people.
- My younger daughter is very sporty, does Thai Boxing, and is a professional Ski Teacher (the mama in me feels like OMG: why not get on a dance floor instead?).
- I was able to develop my femininity in a masculine environment.
- When I want to relax, I just sit in the sun and do absolutely nothing. Nothing means no phone, no book, no eating. Just resting in the sun and looking at the clouds.
- My favorite holiday memory is a ritual for women I did when I visited the island of Corfu. We went to the beach, made a fire and we’re sharing our hearts and our souls, vulnerably. Followed by a naked swim under the moon. Women can support each other so beautifully, simply by holding space and listening.
- My favorite movie is “Eat, Pray and Love”… because I love good and healthy food (from all different countries), I adore travelling around the world and I pray for women’s empowerment.
- What excites me (even now, as we are going through uncertain times)and gets me out of the bed every morning: the fact that I bring healing refuge and the possibility to women with sexual pain and turn sexless relationships into place of love, passion, desire and turn-on. Yeah!!
